After the storms this week I found a shingle laying in the yard. The roof has multiple slopes and I could not see where the shingle was missing from. I scheduled an appointment with Steve Hicks to inspect the roof to see if he could locate where the shingle had come from. Steve brought his drone and was able to see all areas of the roof and in the process take pictures of each angle. Steve was able to download the pictures and zoom in from his computer to see that the shingle was in fact one that had been replaced and was apparently left on the roof by the contractor vs having a shingle missing. Steve was very professional and knowledgeable and explained the entire process and emailed a very descriptive report explaining his findings. So blessed to know a professional with the qualifications and knowledge to help in this situation. I highly recommend Steve Hicks with Lodestar Home Inspections, LLC. for your home inspection needs whatever they may be.

We really appreciated the expertise Steve showed on the home inspection for our new house. He gave us a very detailed report and there were some issues that we would never have known about without Steve's thorough inspection. We were able to get those issues resolved by the seller and Steve saved us thousands of dollars on repairs we would have had to without his hard work. We’ve used Steve multiple times now and his inspections are extremely thorough and accurate. He is well educated in every aspect of the home. He knows all technical details, industry standards, government requirements, and anything else that can have an affect on a person purchasing a home. He’s honest and will explain the severity of any issues in the home and also explain multiple resolutions and outcomes. Anything that requires an independent specialist he will usually have a reliable contact for. He is thoroughly equipped with equipment to provide a complete home inspection report including all necessary PPE , testing devices, and a drone to provide detailed overhead property photos. We would recommend Steve to anyone without any hesitation.
